Reclaimed Teak Dining Set
from North Carolina,  Jun 20, 2011

The table is well constructed. The chairs are solid, though the base construction on some of them is not tightly fit. Overall, the set is very solid and will completely meet our needs. The reason the color is unmatched, is the table needs to receive significant teak oil.

Teak Table & Chairs
from North Truro, Massachusetts,  Oct 25, 2010

The table and chairs are extremely well made for reclaimed teak. The chairs are very solid and comfortable despite not having any cushions. The table top and chairs are exactly what is described by Overstock. Simply stated, you are getting a very high quality table and chairs set. We are very pleased with the look, craftmanship, quality and color and would definitely recommend it to future Overstock buyers. Fortunately, no damage was visible on any of the chairs (come fully assembled) and the table top (6 bolts need to be affixed to the legs and you are in business).

Lots of cracks
from Huntington, NY,  Jan 29, 2013

This is actually a very attractive table and chairs set. We love the rustic, unfinished look of it including the nail holes and wood patches. We are extremely disappointed, however in the tabletop. Since we got the table in early December, at least four long cracks have developed in the tabletop. The cracks were not there when we received the table but oddly developed and got wider and longer over a very short period of time. I can see through the cracks to my kitchen floor! The table is not subject to any mistreatment or abuse so I cannot understand why or how these cracks came to be. The chairs look great and the reclaimed teak bench which we purchased separately are in great condition. My husband and I are really disappointed because after a long back and forth with many customer service representatives, we were told these reclaimed teak tables "all have cracks." We just wanted to exchange the table but it looks like we will now need to return everything. Huge hassle and a major bummer.

Solid table
from Northern California,  Oct 20, 2012

Aloha, This table set is not as heavy or as durable as teak dining tables I have owned in the past, but it still looks good and is very sturdy. We liked this table because of it's slightly unfinished look and purchased it with the thought of sanding it down and refinishing it with a darker color to match some of our other furniture. Needless to say, the original finish and color grew on us so we left it as is. In my opinion, the only downfall of the set is that there are a lot of spots in the wood that have been poorly filled. I understand this set is constructed out of reclaimed wood, (so some repairs are expected) but some of the spots should have been repaired with wood rather than filler due to their size and location...

Reclaimed Teak 7-piece Dining Set
from New Jersey,  Sep 25, 2011

Pro - Teak wood is pretty. Price was reasonable. Cons - Wood putty on table surface (not just in non obvious areas). Also square wood piece on table top as repair. Many, many repairs to the wood. Finish is rough, not sanded smooth. This is not the first teak piece of furniture I own, but I was slightly disappointed in this. Chairs likewise have numerous repairs to the wood. Taking into account shipping costs and hassle, I decided to keep it and it is pretty after applying copious amounts of teak oil and sanding. I recommend a Milwaukee sander and take it from 80 to 120 to 250 sandpaper. Then apply copious amounts of teak oil. Now it is a golden hue and looks pretty. As delivered, not so much.

No finish applied
 from Michigan,  Aug 19, 2011

The table and chairs are of good quality construction, however there is absolutely no finish at all applied to it. The wood is much "greyer" and than pictured. I like the look of the wood, however, I am concerned about it getting stained by spills or water stains with no finish. I am going to research possbibly applying a teak oil finish, however, the wood is very rough (due to it being "reclaimed"), still researching on the best way to do that.
