Story Behind the Art:
Balinese artisan Widi Armini began learning the art of beading when she was only seven years old. 'I remember all the woman of my family working in beadwork. In fact, a long time ago, the men also used to bead, although not anymore,' she recalls. 'I worked for others until I set up my own workshop in 1999. Now I can share my work with as many as 40 other women. That's the part I enjoy the most, to be able to help the women of my village.'
