We ordered one of a somewhat different design and have used it in our family room TV area for one year now. It is very beautiful, with natural-looking colors, and soft under foot. It shows no wear after one year. I do rotate it quarterly since one end is under the couch and the other end gets stepped on the most. One area got dirty and I didn't want to take it in for dry cleaning so I hung it over my porch railing and gently hand-scrubbed the dirty spots, then hosed the whole thing down and let it air dry... like new again. Here's how thick the wool yarn is and how tightly woven the rug is: after a thorough spraying of the side I washed, the underside still felt dry to the touch!
