Baluch rugs are tribal hand-woven rugs made in the southern part of Iran by nomadic Baluch tribes. The majority of Baluch rugs are woven in the province Sistan-Baluchistan, which sits on the extreme Southeast boundaries of Iran. A lot of Baluch rugs also come out of Iran's vast province of Khorassan which is just to the north. Colors of Baluch rugs are usually predominantly a rich burgundy with some very dark navy blue and accents of ivory. They frequently have either an overall pattern, or a prayer rug design. Any Baluch Persian rug is one of a kind and has absolutely no duplicates anywhere in the world.

Persian Rug
I collect village rugs This one stood out as very unusual in its grafic pattern did not realize being from Iran had cotton warp and weft which makes for a sturdy rug although this one will be hung I was very pleased with it

Nothing like the photo
It is a beautiful rug and I have kept it but it is NOTHING like the picture on the website!!! It is much more black than red! It has a thick rich texture and I like it.

Persian Rug
I have several rugs that I have purchased in Turkey and Israel. I especially love the handmade rugs for their durability. This Balouchi is especially beautiful because of its simplicity and deep coloration. It is suitable for any high traffic area. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely accent rug.

Just a beautifully made rug. Looks even better in person. Dense, low-cut pile. A fantastic buy. In my experience, genuine, hand-made Persian/Iranian rugs rarely disappoint.Definitely recommend this item.

Love it!
I love this rug! I ordered this one and a larger one with a different pattern from Overstock. I specifically wanted all wool Persian rugs because I have sloppy dinner guests and a large dog. The rugs arrived almost instantly. The other larger rug in a different pattern went under the diningroom table. The colors are cheery and brighten the rooms. Best of all they've taken a lot of abuse already and it's impossible to tell! My German Shepherd absolutely loves this rug and has abandoned his usual bed. He's done everything a dog can do to a rug short of chewing it to pieces. My dinner guests have spilled wine on it. It's impossible to tell. The rug cleans easily and looks beautiful, as if I just rolled it out of the package.
