I should have believed the other reviews that cited poor materials and workmanship. This piece looks lovely in the photo, however even allowing for the unique appearance of each piece there was a lot more red/burgundy than I expected or wanted. Packaging was also subpar. This item definitely overpriced...very disappointed.

My wife really likes the necklace. My problem was from the time my order was accepted it took almost 3 weeks to get the product. I ordered almost 2 weeks before my wifes birthday and needless to say I had to make other arangements for her birthday. The necklace is very nice, once I received it.

This necklace is not as nice as I hoped it would be for that price. By the time I received it, a few small beads had fallen off, and some of the orange dye work on the pearls was shoddy and uneven. I had hoped to give it to someone for Christmas, but now I am not sure. I have been to Thailand, so expected a higher quality.

I was surprised at the vivid colors. Somehow I was expecting more subdued tones. The orange pearls are quite orange. It's not exactly what I wanted, but leaving that aside, it is quite nice. It brightens up any outfit and I have had compliments on it.

Unfortunately, it broke (like others said it would) within a few wearings. It's likely to cost me more to have it repaired than it did to buy it! Also, the extension chain in the back is VERY cheap!

I bought this for a wedding and it broke by the end of the night. My husband was able to fix it but for what I paid I was very disappointed. I did like the look although some people commented it looked like fruit.

I really do like this necklace. It was a Christmas gift from my hubby. The colors of the stones and pearls are beautiful. My has a more Guava tone than the one in this picture. The only negative is the chain and clasp. It is really cheep and broke after wearing it only three times. The necklace is too heavy for such a cheep metal. I'm having it replaced with a better metal.

I had seen this necklace in the National Geographic catalogue and admired it. Of course, it was much less expensive through Overstock. I love the look, but the clasp & chain at the back are made of what appears to be cheap pot metal and the pearls are stung on thread. Not sure how long this will last. Pretty, but looks poorly made when you see it up close

I purchased this necklace for my wife and the piece I received was unique and really pretty. The display necklace is a nice representation of the piece you'll actually receive, but because the artisan crafts each piece, they are really special. The NOVICA company and their association with regional artisans is great.

I was very disappointed with this necklace. The picture made it look like a delicate, pretty necklace. What I received was a clunky, gaudy overpriced mess. It was supposed to be a gift for someone, but I'm too embarrassed to give it to her. "Buyer Beware" indeed, especially online.

I bought this necklace as a gift to my younger sister and I really debated buying it because it looked a bit delicate in the picture but that is definitly not the case. The color of the gemstones are bright and beautiful, the workmanship is great as well. I am definitely very happy with my purchase ...this is yet another gift the I have bought from O that I regret having to give away lol.

I was initially attracted to this necklace for the simplicity, colors and the pearls themselves. While the necklace is attractive, there is much more of the glass than is portrayed in the photo, making these what you notice rather than the pearls. It also makes the necklace a bit chunkier and heavier than anticipated. It is still a pretty piece and will go with many outfits.

Gave this to my niece on her 18th birthday. She loves it so much she keeps it next to her at night on her nightstand. Came in a beautiful box and she has a June birthdate so pearls are her birthstone as well.

I love this necklace! The colors are beautiful and it will match many items of clothing. I bought it for a coral/orange dress, but it also would go extremely well with anything green or brown. Plus, it can be worn with a casual outfit, as well as dressy one.

My husband *surprised* me with the necklace for Mother's Day! (after I emailed him the link...) The shipping was fast and the necklace is truly a work of art...you won't find this necklace in a mall. I loved it because it has my birthstone, and my mother's birthstone; it also has carnelian, which is a favorite of my mom's, and various sizes of irregular pearls. It's just the right touch of class for a stay-home mom to enjoy, and it looks great with a variety of colors. It's heavy; it's NOT some cheap plastic necklace; these are real stones. But it's t's not too heavy, and I love the adjustable clasp; I can adjust the length up to an inch or a little more. Most of the stones are "chips" but they are set on a metallic gold cord, which highlights the golden tone of the pearls and the orange tones of the carnelian. This is a great piece and I feel so dressed up when I wear it. I'm searching for some complementary earrings, but small gold hoops work fine. Thanks, Overstock!

I get lots of compliments when I wear this necklace! I needed something to pull together an outfit. This necklace has a wide variety of colors to add boldness and the workman ship is excellent.

I was so impressed when I received my necklace. It arrived in a beautiful oriental cloth covered box and when I opened it up I fell in love with it on the spot. It is beautifully made and I love the different colored polished stones with the pearls mixed in. I wanted it to go with some of my colorful summer clothes that have melons and greens in them. I was also very impressed to receive a NOVICA (National Geographic) note that showed the woman in Thailand who made the necklace and a little bit about her life. I feel so good about purchasing this beautiful work of art and hopefully helping the person who crafted it. I will now look for NOVICA jewelry.
