Story Behind the Art:
After traveling through Indonesia and sleeping on hammocks, Charly decided to design a more practical type of hammock made from nylon and silk parachute material. Once I created the prototype, I realized just how comfortable, compact and easy to use this new hammock was. My first thought was simply to create a new type of hammock that my friends and I could enjoy. However, over the years my design has gained popularity and a devoted following.'

Beautiful hammock, so easy to take anywhere
I purchased this beautiful, handcrafted hammock as a gift for a friend traveling to South American jungle areas. It is PERFECT for her. The item folds into a very small, self-contained bag yet folds out into a large sleeping or swinging hammock. Both the recipient and I were charmed with the card that told us who made the hammock and a little about the program that aids workers of the manufacturing plant. We just couldn't get over how beautiful it is, how well-made, and the fact that we can know a bit about who made it and how the job of handcrafting these items and others is important to the local economy and the families involved.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. This is a beautiful, portable hammock but isn't meant to be semi-permanently installed as a yard hammock.

this hammock is a great value!
I ordered this for my young nieces that live out of town. I ordered right before I was going to visit them and had it sent straight to them. It arrived within a week of ordering it. The quality seemed good but it wasn't put up yet.
