    Desak Putu Rai works the leaves in a harmonious combination of dexterity and creativity. Bali's natural wonders surrounding her prove to be a never-ending source of inspiration. Each basket can take up to seven days to finish - a lengthy process enjoyed most when able to chat and share stories with her fellow weavers.

    'I began learning palm basketry from the neighboring craftsmen in 1990, and opened my own roadside shop in 1995. This is now our family business, and we enjoy it very much.'

      I was trying to CANCEL this Handmade Palm Leaf Hand made Basket. When I received it I am glad I didn't. It is one of the most beautiful baskets I have ever seen. I recommend this handmade basket highly. I am so glad I didn't cancel, what a mistake that would have been. I collect handmade basket's. When these are in stock for all of the basket collectors out there, PLEASE purchase this one. the detail is much more than the picture can even come close on. It is a beauty. While I tracked it, it came from Alaska. I have been there once. The weaving on the basket is more than can be said. Many Thanks, to O/S, for their patience with me on not cancelling this product. Thank You to you all at O/S. I have not cancelled anything before, and don't plan on it. All of the items I have purchased are top quality. Thank You again.

      I feel almost guilty for the price vs the value received with this basket. It is absolutely beautiful in design and craftsmanship. I love to hold the basket to feel the good emanations from it and imagine someone halfway around the world putting days into its creation. I bought it as a gift but wish I'd kept it now since I can't imagine anyone appreciating it more than me! This basket was more than worth the money.
