Story Behind the Art

Hand-knotted by Nomadic weavers and sheep herders traveling along the borders of Afghanistan and Pakistan, these artisans pass on rich traditions from raising local sheep to harvest the pure high mountain hand-spun wool to handcrafting these rugs using passed-on techniques from generation to generation. After the harvesting of this wool, they use local plants and fruits to make an all-natural sun-dried vegetable dye. Vegetable dye will fade to give an heirloom look and feel for many years to enjoy.

What is Worldstock?

The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.
