Story Behind the Art
Jeab grew up in Lamphun, a northern province of Thailand. In the northern provinces, there is a large cultural influence from surrounding hill tribes who are well known for their hand-made crafts and jewelry. Jeab now lives in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. She brought her knowledge and patience of making jewelry to the capital city and began displaying her skill in stores and markets. Her evolving designs possess the traditional style from home as well modern flair and everything in between. She has taught her family members back home to make some of the designs. Her creative designs and successful business model have brought income to the family while preserving the hand crafted traditions of her home town.
