This handcrafted item and many others come from a third-generation family-run workshop in mainland China. Their skills of hand-painting, hand-rubbed lacquering and hand-tooling have been passed down for many generations. We are proud to support them in their quest to keep their age-old techniques alive for future generations. Many of the artists are hired out of semi-retirement to work from home, training the next generation to become master craftsmen. These masters are highly respected in their craft and their culture which have survived through many Chinese dynasties and continue to produce valuable and desirable pieces for your home decor.

it's nice since it commemorates 9/11
I bought this since it commemorates 9/11 by showing the twin towers .. a little annoying when I was hanging it because it has a "crooked" look to it whereas the picture art and it's golden lining within the frame doesn't seem to line with the border so it always seemed crooked no matter how I adjusted it, but eventually it looked good with the surrounding artwork and pics on its wall and whenever someone has commented it's to say that they like it.

A good buy
This is a beautiful picture of NY skyline. I bought it for my kitchen area because we have a bar table and chair seating area. I put a table cloth over the wood table and added a few candles and aaaahhh! You would think you were at a famous bistro! We love to have our morning coffe or dinner in our special area. I love it.

Really nice picture
If you put a light behind this photo canvas it all the lights glow and it makes the picture come to life. By accident we laid it against a window and it was beautiful. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the right light to put behind it, but it still looks lovely, perfect match for our decor. I purchased because of the review saying it was a tribute to our firefighters, but also all those whose lives were taken in 9/11. I want to remember we need to never take life for granted but treasure it. This reminds me.

Easy to look at
The sepia and dark colors are very nice - captures an evening mood. Only flaw was the wrinkles at the bottom (canvas maybe not pulled tight enough), which makes the "frame" line at the botton of the picture uneven; however, some stiff cardboard placed between the canvas and the wood frame in the back straightened most of the wrinkles out. Am happy with this purchase.
