This handcrafted item and many others come from a third-generation family-run factory in mainland China. Their skills of hand-painting, hand-rubbed lacquering and hand-tooling have been passed down for many generations. We are proud to support them in their quest to keep their age-old techniques alive for future generations. Many of the artists are hired out of semi-retirement to work from home training the next generation to become master craftsmen. These masters are highly respected in their craft and their culture which have survived through many Chinese dynasties and continue to produce valuable and desirable pieces for your home decor.

Poor quality
I ordered this in white and it was a huge disappointment. The "woven fiber" is not much more than heavy paper and it is very flimsy. The fibers are white but the dowels are natural wood so it looks very cheap. also the shelves have nails on the bottom that are supposed to line up with eye-hooks and many of the nails are falling out and nothing lines up well. I'm sending it back asap! My experience with Overstock.com has been great up to this point but it is really laughable at how cheap & chintzy this item is considering the price. This is not worth the money. My advice: don't order it.

Poor Quality and Appearance
I would not recommend this unit due to the construction, appearance, and loosely woven string like material. It is not attractive, not sturdy, and nor stable, even for the low price. It folds up nicely, but the rings that the small nails fit into are not accurate.
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? No, it said it is white and actually there are natural colored matchsticks wrapped with strings.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. This unit was poorly made of string like material.
- How accurate was the sizing? It was accurate.
