This handcrafted item and many others come from a third-generation family-run factory in mainland China. Their skills of hand-painting, hand-rubbed lacquering and hand-tooling have been passed down for many generations. We are proud to support them in their quest to keep their age-old techniques alive for future generations. Many of the artists are hired out of semi-retirement to work from home training the next generation to become master craftsmen. These masters are highly respected in their craft and their culture which have survived through many Chinese dynasties and continue to produce valuable and desirable pieces for your home decor.

Poorly Constructed and Flimsy
Although I was careful in my selection and read the reviews, I will be more careful in the future. I could have found better quality at a garage sale. This chest is not worth half of the fees charged. I am very disappointed.
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? Yes, yet the wooden feet were not painted.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. First I really like this company. I want to support their business. I am impressed with any company that takes on Goldman Sachs.
- How accurate was the sizing? It is accurate.

Well crafted
This little chest of baskets makes the perfect assessory in a walk in closet. While the drawers are a bit small, they are deeper than I expected and lined with a soft fabric. The weaving is tight and appears to have been done by hand. If the basket drawers were on sliders, this would have been a 5 star product. Even my husband (not a home decor kind of guy) likes this little chest.
