We bought this to go next to a very low slinging chaise which features chrome and black and white accents. Our goal was to inject a little handcrafted wood accent table in an otherwise very modern and contemporary living room. We saw it on many other online retail sites for 2-3 times more. It's the perfect accent piece for us. But pay attention to the width and height you need because although it's just right for us we were seeking a very short end table and rejected many others which would have been too high next to our chaise.

This is a very nice piece of furniture. More like artwork. One word of caution; the measurements are accurate. It's on the small size.

I absolutely love my Twist Stools. They are smaller than I expected (I'm glad I ordered two, though I could probably use a third); nevertheless, they are gorgeous, well-made, and constantly drawing compliments from friends. I use them as seats, foot stools, and, together, as an alternative to a coffee table in my living room. They are so multi-functional! Definitely a good buy.

Thia is a beautiful piece of wood to use as a side table, plant stand, foot stool, stool, etc. It is absolutely perfect and I move it around for various uses. Love it!

I think the picture should include something of standard size, because I had the impression that it would be a little larger. Nonetheless, the sizing is right on. I guess, I didn't get out the tape measure. Regardless, it meets my needs, as I use it for a tub-side table.

It is small but perfect size next to an armless low sofa. A really nice piece.

The description indicates that because it is a natural wood product, some cracks may occur during drying. I was prepared for small cracks and little knot holes. I got two of these. The cracks on one were as wide as 3/4" in places and ran from one corner through the middle and part way to the opposite corner. The other was also severly cracked at both ends with a crack wide enough to drop a AA battery down it. While the picture shows shiny and polished looking wood on the top, the wood on these stools was not polished looking. It looked rough hewn. I was very happy with Overstock.com's customer service's willingness to have these returned as defective, but when they offered to replace them, I had to turn them down. It wasn't just one piece that had problems. It was both.

We were looking for a very small table to fit between two chairs. We hoped for something seat-height & no larger than 12" diameter. This table is just large enough to hold a small lamp. It looks pretty cool, too - much better than a plain cube.

I bought two of these tables. One is very like the picture, but the other had an overall yellowish cast which did not suit the room. They are not varnished or sealed, so I got some wood stain and after a couple of applications, got a color I liked. I use them either as side tables or stools. One took the weight of a 260lb friend without problem.

Nice and different item. I know I don't own anything quite like it. I use it as a small table, but you can also use it as an extra seat, since its sturdy enough. Friends always look it over and seem to find it as interesting as I do.

I LOVE THIS STOOL (I am using it as a side table). The color and richness are superb. I even love the cracks in the wood because it makes it seem that much more authentic...I could tell my friends I actually bought it in Thailand and they would believe me because it looks like something you would hand carry home from a trip overseas.
