Story Behind the Art:
Thailand's Khun Pacume speaks of her craft: 'I learned to carve during the rice seasons, while we waited for harvest, from my father who learned from his father. Our family works together with cousins as time allows and there are jobs to carve. I create some of my own designs but most work is by customer design or modifications of my original designs. Working with wood is peaceful and allows our family to earn extra money between seasons.'

Just as pictured -- lovely versatile furniture
Love these -- they're beautiful, we get lots of compliments, and they are very versatile. We used them as stools when the rest of our furniture hadn't arrived, and now are using them as side tables in the lounge. They are strong and stable -- they have comfortable supported my husband (who is 6ft 3). A bit wobbly if you want to climb up on them -- but that's probably not what they're intended for!

Rustic look, beautiful wood grain
This creates a very interesting display used with a plant or sculpture. Hand carved so it does have some rough finish and natural cracks in the wood grain. The walnut oil finish is a very rich color which nicely brings out the highlights in the monkey pod wood.

LOVE THESE TABLES!
I love the way these tables look (I purchased two), since they are not your "run of the mill" regular tables. Since I am still going through the remodel from hell, I have not quite decided whether I am going to use them as end tables, or maybe plant stands. You could even use them as a stool, since they have a nice weight to them. What drew me to them was I have two wood statues, that my Nani got in Mexico, more than 80 years ago, and they have the same curvy design.

Fantastic, versatile and reasonably priced
Extremely light but very sturdy. They add a nice touch of uniqueness to the room. I'm using them to set beverages on but would use them as additional seating if needed as the height is very appropriate to sit on comfortably.

Expensive looking accent piece!
Used as a bed side "table" in a small guest room where I could only fit one traditional nightstand but needed something for a book, glass, etc. on the other side of the bed. These come in several sizes and colors so there are many options. A natural, organic look - expect cracks as part of the look. Shipping was extremely fast.

if the dimensions work for you - then get this! it's more of a stand than a stool though, and it's very good quality however too small for the space intended for, so it's going back.
