This handcrafted item and many others come from a third-generation family-run workshop in mainland China. Their skills of hand-painting, hand-rubbed lacquering and hand-tooling have been passed down for many generations. We are proud to support them in their quest to keep their age-old techniques alive for future generations. Many of the artists are hired out of semi-retirement to work from home, training the next generation to become master craftsmen. These masters are highly respected in their craft and their culture which have survived through many Chinese dynasties and continue to produce valuable and desirable pieces for your home decor.

dull & dark
i was extremely disappointed in the picture. the canvas looks warped and the colors are dark and murky. i was hoping the blue-gray color shown online would be brighter, but it is not. the orange sunset is the only thing that resembles the online picture. not worth the hassle of returning.

The colors were much darker than expected.
The overall quality of the print was very good. I was somewhat disappointed in the dark appearance of the water and probably would not have purchased this print if I had known beforehand. I was satisfied with the quallity and kept it anyway. I may try to touch it up with a lighter color myself as the price was very good. If it doesn't work out I will not be very upset to trash it.
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? The entire print was much darker than the image online. The colors were dark muddy in appearance but the sunset was a bright orange and picked up the coral on the walls in my room very well.

The canvas is well made, and the value is good. BUT the color is totally wrong. It is so dark that the blue/gray clouds is actually dark gray, Not acceptable.

The picture is so faded is the only word I can come up with. You do not see the picture like it is shown. You ready can't see much detail just so color on a canvas. I did not reture it was too much trouble.

Disappointing!
the painting was very disappointing due to the fact that the colors are so DARK not at all like what was showed on screen....in fact far from it............ too much hassle to return it........ looks better if a small light is hung over it to brighten the colors..............would possibly work well in a room that had glass windows for walls ....yes it requires that much light to enjoy the painting.....be ware..........look elsewhere!!!!

Needed these colors in the print on a bathroom wall. Fortunately, there is a skylight directly above the wall I put the print and the light made my choice perfect. Love the print!!!!

Great canvas art at a better than great price!
I love this canvas print and I could not be happier!!!! Thank you so much for providing such a great piece at an incredible price. After reading the reviews, my biggest concern was that this print would be so dark or so completely washed out, that I would not be able to see it. What I received has rich colors and great depth. Imagine being on a body of water and the sun is just starting to come up....it is humid and a little hazy and the sun is trying to burn through the haze...everything around you is just starting to take shape and come into focus...the sun is still orange and there is a subtle haze around it....you can tell that it is going to be a really hot day! This is exactly what I see and feel when I look at this picture. It is what art should be and I think it looks great anywhere..Thank you Overstock!
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? not exactly...the color onsite looks very washed out and kinda blue and silvery. The art I received is very rich with browns and oranges. I do not know what the original looks like, so I googled images of 'Impression Sunrise'. I looked at over a hundred images and not two were alike. The colors ranged from silver blue with tan to purple, orange and blue. For the price I took a chance. I was actually curious to see how my art would look.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. I don't have any problems with the quality of the art. The stretched canvas is not flawless, but I did not expect it to be. There are very small flaws that you will see if you look hard enough for them.

This is certainly not an expert opinion but......
I am not an art expert so my opinion is based on nothing more than personal taste. I really like this picture. It probably helps that I have never seen the original. Perhaps if I had a basis of comparison I might not be satisfied but I don't have that basis. I wanted an attractive picture to hang in my home and enjoy and I have exactly that.
