Product Features:
'My name is Alberto Ruiz Garcia from Oaxaca, Mexico. I am the fourth generation of my family to practice the craft of weaving. The sheep are sheared twice a year. We remove any twigs and burrs and wash the fleece. Then we card it with wire brushes so it is soft and can be worked on a wooden spinning wheel. We wash it with amole, then spin and dye it with tints from the cochineal insect, pomegranate peel, bark from the huajal tree, and oak and pecan bark. Almost all the rocks and flowers here yield natural colors. We soak the materials in a pot of water and let it sit at least a month. Then we set it on the fire to boil. We immerse the hanks of yarn for half an hour and then take them out to dry. We wind the yarn on long, narrow bobbins to weave it. We warp the handloom, and then begin to weave the rug.'

Not exactly what I had expected
I was expecting to receive a hand-woven rug. This rug isn't hand woven. Guess the price should have been a give away - hand-woven rugs are expensive - this one wasn't expensive. Though it is pretty, it's not exactly what I wanted. I hung it on my wall - fits in with my color scheme.
