'Hola! My name is Alberto Ruiz Garcia. I remember as a child I watched my father working on the loom while my mother and grandmother carded and dyed the wool. To achieve the dyes, we soak the materials in a big pot of water and let it sit at least a month. We first warp the handloom, and then we begin to weave the rug.'

Stargazer zapotec
I'm sorry to say that I was dissapointed with the color....it was much darker than the picture indicated. The quality seems fine, but eventhogh we are using it, we were expecting more vivid coloring.

Colors not exact
I was disappointed in the color of the rug as it had more maroon in it than the picture indicates. It still will work well with my color scheme. I ordered two of these rugs and the first one was just gorgeous and I decided it was too nice to put on the floor. This one is ok and I did put it on the floor and won't be hanging it on the wall like the first one I ordered. It's still a beautiful rug and will work well in my entry floor.
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? No. The rug had more maroon than grey. Does not look exactly like picture.

Beautiful Little Rug
I love this rug. It's got lovely subtle coloring and a beautiful pattern -- more subdued than another Novica rug I bought recently from O.com, but with the same careful elegant workmanship. It feels soft under shoes and barefoot too. And a great look. It's like a painting on the floor.
