Alberto Ruiz Garcia is the fourth generation in a family dedicated to weaving Zapotec rugs. 'I remember as a child watching my father working on the loom while my mother and grandmother carded and dyed the wool so that the men could weave it.'
The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.

perfect size and perfect color
I have a couch that has tones of green and brown and the rug not only ties in well with the couch but brings out the other vibrant colors in the room. I had a recent trip to Mexico and wanted to bring back a beautiful woven rug , but with today's air travel complications I decided against it. Fortunately, Overstock offered me an option and now I have my souvenir. The rug can be flipped for added durability.
