Product Features:
Alberto Ruiz Garcia is the fourth generation in a family dedicated to weaving Zapotec rugs. 'I remember as a child watching my father working on the loom while my mother and grandmother carded and dyed the wool so that the men could weave it. We shear the wool, spin it and dye it with tints from the cochineal insect, pomegranate peel, bark from the huajal tree that thrives here, as well as oak and pecan bark. Stones, dried flowers, almost all the rocks and flowers here yield natural colors.'

Outstanding colors!!
Bought 2 of these rugs(different designs) for bedroom in our vacation house in Arizona. The colors are outstanding, weave tight enough to vacuum gently. They are also in a low traffic area. Too beautiful for high traffic areas like entrances. Actually I bought a 3rd. (different design & longer) for the long hallway that connects the living room with the kitchen & family room. That one is doing very well in an active area. NON-Skid rug pad required!!!
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? Colors are richer. Not orange,but old brick color. Beautiful.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. The tapastry weave is tight & needs a non-skid rug pad.
- How accurate was the sizing? Just fine for handmade rug. Accurate within .25 +/_
