Much smaller than the dimensions on website state. Bowl is actually only 5" w x 2.5" deep. Workmanship is shoddy and the bowl is all scratched up. Stand is also very cheap - as previously stated. The one they pictured on the website was pretty - the one I received is not. I couldn't use this for what I intended. I would not recommend this product.

I was very disppointed at the soundof the bowl,which wasthe whole point in buying it. Looks were excellent.

I was looking for a singing bowl and the ones I found were very expensive and some were hard to use but this one is so inexpensive and very easy to use and it makes a beautiful sound! The stand is just ok - came with chipped paint but overall still a wonderful bargain and I use it all the time!

The sound of the singing bowl is wonderful when it is struck with the stick. The part I'm dissapointed in is when moving the stick in a circular motion around the bowl, it does not make a pretty sound! The vibrations do not continue when stick used in circular pattern, which is how the instrument should be used. I can still use it for meditation by hitting, but was hoping for a bit better sound overall.

When used correctly, get ready for a sonic vibration that's simply otherworldly. Beautifully made and pleasing to look at. the sound is stangely hypnotic and mezmerizing. Deffinately an object that belongs in any oriental collection. These bowls have been used for centuries in the Far East as an aid to worship and meditation. Make sure you learn how to use it corectly, its a bit tricky. I'll give you a hint, you don't hit it with the woode mallet.

This was a gift for my daughter. I could not make the bowl sing however she knew how to work it. She is delighted with the bowl. It is small and if I were to buy one again I might look for a larger one, but overall a good bowl for the price.

This has a peaceful clear tone to it that lasts. I purchased this some time ago, and it has held up like it is new.

We received the bowl and it was what we expected. We are building a spa in our home and wanted to add some holistic (or meditative) accent pieces. The singing bowl is very cool and relaxing to use in fact. Two things: we like it enough to buy a second one and send it off as a gift and two: I saw it at a high end accessory store that sells spa related art/accessories and it was priced above $340. Granted that bowl in store was a bit heavier but certainly not worth $310 more!! This is a buy here at Overstock!

I bought this singing bowl when my Feng Shui horoscope said I should have one in my house. Little did I know how beautiful it would be. It is artfully designed, as well as sturdy. I accidentally dropped it to prove that fact. The soothing sound is quite relaxing. I am really going ot enjoy having this in my home.

This is a beautiful bowl with great sound. But, I would have liked to have instructions included on how to clean the bowl.

This is a perfect introduction to a meditation bowl at a great price. The sound is sweet and the look is perfect for decor or actual use. I used it when teaching a yoga class, and the students loved it. Looked cute too.

These bowls are very pretty. They are about 4 inches in diameter(I thought they'd be bigger) Nice sound quality if played right. I'll probably end up buying some for myself!

Bought for Christmas as a gift for someone who has everything. Love it! The Quality and Craftsmanship are excellent! So happy to contribute to the global artisan community. So thankful overstock makes these unique gifts available to us. Only wish the piece came with more information about the artist and instructions for use. Had to find "how to" books/CDs on Amazon.com.

After watching a video on youtube I was able to get this bowl screaming within 10 minutes. It produces a beautiful sound. The stand isn't THAT bad. After all it's just meant to display the bowl which it does. Very neat, very good price. Even my 3 year old nephew loves using the singing bowl. He picked it up quicker than I was able to.

love this bowl, but its not as big as it looks.i really expected it to be bigger considering the price.but overall its what i was looking for.

I'm very pleased with this Tibetan singing bowl. It is well ornamented, has good tone, and sings beautifully. To make it sing (some seem to have trouble making it do so), hold it in the flat palm of your hand (not on the metal stand), strike the side with the wooden mallet, and then run the mallet slowly around the rim or the side of the bowl. The sound will resonate and even get louder as it sings.
