What a great piece to display on a coffee table. It is an interesting woodgrain and large enough to put a few decorative balls on.... Very satisfied with the quality and functionality of the piece.

Many thanks to those of you who bought this tray and shared your opinions - I, too, would highly recommend this lovely piece. I bought it to hold fruit on the kitchen counter, but I will be looking for another fruit bowl - this is going into the living room where it can sit on the coffee table and gather up compliments. The only thing I can add to the other reviews is that I currently have ten large pieces of fruit in my tray (apples, oranges, pears), and there's room for more - so even though it doesn't look it at first glance, this tray is very generously sized.

I bought this tray for a gift. It is just beautiful! I was seriously tempted to keep it for myself and others at the party were jealous! The workmanship was exceptional and it was a nice size. It is a great piece and a very nice gift.

This platter/dish is more beautiful in person. It is the perfect gift for the picky person on your Christmas list. It is the right size for a little or a lot and it always look great!

Maybe it's just my monitor, but this piece looked prettymuch black and yellow. I thought it was cool-looking and ordered it as a gift for some modern-minded family members. In person, it's actually quite traditional... regular wood colors with a lovely grain pattern. I absolutely still plan on giving it to the intended recipients, but I wanted to be sure and get the word out there that this piece is NOT black and yellow - it would be really nice for any home. Also: it is lightweight, but not in a cheap way. Great buy!

I bought this as a display for fruit. I have received many inquiries on what type of beautiful wood that this is. This is a wonderful addition to any home decor. The tray is unique and the workmanship is beautiful.
