Story Behind the Art:
Saifon's family works in wood carving and furniture. 'Working with wood isn't difficult for a specialist like my father, but an innovative variety of designs is necessary and I create my own. We specialize in mango wood, which requires a special treatment. When the piece is smooth enough, I carve and decorate it. The final step is painting. Depending on the finishing style and the natural wood hue, a piece can take as long as six days to finish.'

The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.
