Story Behind the Art:
Made from the finest mango wood in Northern Thailand, our artisans delicately handcraft this over a 60-day process. Mango wood is indigenous to Northern Thailand, where Mr. Suwichack Ampanan and a small group of fellow artisans have been perfecting the craft of mango wood. When the mango tree can no longer bear fruit after about 25-30 years, he and his artisans use these trees as a means of expressing their creative talents. He hopes you enjoy using his products as much as he enjoys making them. We ensure that the artisans are paid fairly and work in safe conditions. The purchase of this product will help artisans provide food and shelter to their communities as well as generate money to put their children through school.
