This factory is located in the Guangdong region of mainland China. The father is the main person in charge and employs many family members. Day to day operations are run by an aunt while the son is being groomed to take over once his father retires - all of this family greatly adds to the quality and productivity of this factory. Over 300 skilled and non-skilled craftsman work together, passing knowledge and craftsmanship from generation to generation. The working conditions of this group are excellent. Poor quality and not for beginners
I'll touch upon the two outstanding features of this item 1. It's poor quality. There is a small porcelain? basin that broke upon touch. Literally. This set is made from very cheap, breakable materials. 2. If you are not familiar with Chinese caligraphy, avoid this set. There are no instructions. I was very disappointed in this set, and embarassed that I gave it as a gift. It's a pity, because I have purchased great items from Worldstock before, but now I will be hesitant.

Calligraphy set made in china
It's really authentic looking and fun to use. Takes you back to a time when penmanship was raw art. As I was opening the package I was hoping for some instructions that were not there.

Not bad
I bought this for my boyfriend even though the reviews were iffy. The price is okay and I can see how the stuff would break because it is very fragile. Nothing I recieved was broken however the quality is not 100%. If you know anything about any of the tools that come with it I would recommend it. Not for beginners or kids for sure.
