I purchased 2 of these tables this summer for our living room. They were both received with dents on the top edges, which I feel was due to poor packaging on Overstock's part. One of the tables has a couple of drawer that could use a slight planing or sanding to ensure a better fit. The second table has drawers that fit perfectly. In spite of these problems just mentioned, I didn't return them. My husband and I both really like the tables. The wood is really beautiful, and they are unlike anything I would ever be able to find in a store. The slight imperfections add to the charm of these tables and they blend in well with our other furniture which is mostly oak.

Like some reviews have said before, the product may be a bit darker than described (copper), but I was very happy with the color. I have a lot of dark browns in my living room with light oak floors and the color works great with both of these. The quality of the product seems good--I am using it as an end table next to a recliner and it is the perfect size and height. It looks great.

I bought two of these benches to use as props on photo shoots with large groups. They've worked great after only a few weeks of use on location shoots. Both stools are well made and held up good after being tossed around on locations. The only issue is that each is very a different color wood. One is a more tight grain (more like oak) and a consistent medium brown while the other is more spotty with medium and darker tone, almost knotty (like knotty pine with big knots). Of course this does not matter for me at all as mostly people are setting on the stools cover the wood color. Overall I'm very happy with these little stools! I can see why they have so many positive reviews!

This table is pretty. I was concerned because other reviews said that the packaging wasn't good enough. My table was in excellent condition when I recieved it.

I really like these. Very unique. I bought 3 of them to put in front of a large couch spaced out. It also looks good as a side table. Looks eclectic for a home, or would fit perfect at a cabin.

The lighter wood part is VERY yellow looking, almost like someone painted that part onto the wood. It makes the piece not look like real wood.

Just lovely. Colored as pictured - although each piece is unique and will have it's own blend of dark/light wood. The cracks in the cube are smooth and lend to the beauty of the piece - it's a great mixture of rustic but modern. Shipped insanely fast. This thing is H-E-A-V-Y. It is NOT solid all the way through - the bottom is hollowed out (I assume to decrease the weight), but it is not visible at all. Great purchase!

by Staff Writer Lately, television consoles, stands and storage racks have been exhibiting updated designs, sporting storage for your media essentials in models that are tastefully coordinated to the rest of your living room furniture. Compact TV stands and corner TV stands are convenient in smaller apartments, dorm rooms and offices, but even large homes can benefit from the clean look and discreet presence of a television stand. As more people upgrade to lean flat-panel televisions, they are seeing that the smaller size of a TV stand is all they need. The furniture industry usually reserves the term "entertainment center" for the largest TV furniture, big enough for the television, a cadre of audio or video components and a full CD-DVD collection. TV stands tend to be smaller than full entertainment centers while still having enough shelves for a few components and some media storage. For smaller homes or for smaller rooms in larger homes a stand may be all the TV furniture you need.

by Staff Writer After deciding on the purpose and room for your new cabinet, it's time to think about material. As with all furniture, you will want to select a cabinet material depending on what you plan to use your cabinet for, as well as your personal taste. Take a look below to learn about the best materials for cabinets. Wood: The majority of cabinets produced are created with hard wood. Wood cabinets can be found in both traditional and contemporary designs. If you are hoping for durability in addition to design, no cabinet looks better and lasts longer than one manufactured using a solid wood. Cherry cabinets offer a sense of classic luxury while holding up to years of use. Oak cabinets conjure up the feel of subtle country beauty, and maple cabinets can look bright, modern and chic. Metal: Metal cabinets are terrific for those looking for a modern touch in their homes; most metal cabinets have a very forward-looking aesthetic, so they are perfect for a contemporary home. Metal cabinets are also great for home offices. Obviously, metal offers great durability, but it is vulnerable to dings and dents. Keep in mind that most metal cabinets have sharp corners, making them slightly less suitable for homes with kids running around. Glass: If you have something you feel like showing off, nothing is better for display purposes than a glass cabinet. These cabinets are certainly more fragile than those made from other materials, but they offer something other cabinets can't: transparency. Many glass cabinets are manufactured with built-in lighting systems to exhibit whatever you choose to place in them. Because of their show-off quality, glass cabinets are perfect for places you expect guests, such as the dining room and living room. Particle board: If you are shopping for a cabinet on a tight budget, looking into particle board cabinets is worthwhile. Particle board is a relatively new material produced by pressing wood particles together, which is then bound with synthetic resin. Furniture created with particle board is almost always the least expensive option and also the lightest, but you will sacrifice some durability. If you plan to move often, a particle board cabinet could be an ideal option. View All Furniture Back to Guides Directory View All Furniture

Even more basic than the style of end table is its shape, so consider how it will fit into your room. End tables can be square, rectangular, round or oval. Some end tables even nest together. One shape of end table might look best next to a recliner, while another might be perfect next to a sectional sofa. Look carefully at the room in which you will be placing the end tables. Here are some tips on placing end tables in your home.
