This handmade Moroccan leather pouf ottoman has been beautifully hand-stitched by skilled artisans in Morocco. Taking about seven individual artisans to create, this pouf also features a lovely white color with jasmine pattern.

Story Behind the Art:
This product was handmade by skilled men and women artisans from different regions of Marrakesh in Morocco. The process of making these pieces has been passed on from generation to generation. Also as these artisans work closely with designers, adding a contemporary twist to their work which makes their products unique and more sophisticated. Some artisans work in a workshop and some work from their homes, especially women who are a stay-home moms. They have the skills and they like to contribute to the economy while taking care of their children and homes. Making these pieces makes a living for these artisans, and the more they sell, the more they can better the lives of their families.

Leather ottoman perfect
Love this piece, make NO mistake, it does smell, but it has gone away, my feet, my butt, and my dogs have been on this and it has kept shape very well.

It's cute and firm. More cream than white though. Would have preferred white.

weird smell
The worst part is the smell. They must have treated it with some chemical or stuffed it with something tht stinks. And no, it doesn't smell like leather! We only use it for a foot stool and have had it a couple months and its already looking lopsided. Don't bother.

Great pouf for a great price!
This is a great pouf at a great price point. After seeing many poufs in various catalogs and websites, I chose this one for the contrast stitching and great price. It will be in our nursery shared between a pair of chairs. I am thrilled with the purchase and am considering buying another!

Pretty stitching makes up for bad smell
Yes it has a bad odor right out of the box but it goes away in a few weeks and the contrast stitching more than makes up for it. It's gorgeous, much prettier than the white with white stitching ones available I think. Wish I had room for another one...a pair would be fab.
