Beautiful leather. The straps aren't held on to the back in a way that looks like it will last a lifetime but if it doesn't a leather guy can easily re-sew it. Buckles a little flimsy. Overall its a well made very beautiful bag. I can fit a lot of stuff in it. 15" laptop just about fits in it with corners out at top corners of the bag beyond the flap. No handle just straps to hang on to or flip over your shoulder. Color is gorgeous and beautifully died. Front pockek is quite large. Side pockets good size. 2 zippered compartments. 1 in and 1 out. No seperation deviders in bag. Just one big area so your laptop would be in with all your other stuff. Not a big deal but I'm mentioning it. Nice bag overall you will like it, it could just be a little bit sturdier and leather a little thicker but you won't be dissapointed overall. Enjoy.

Bought this backpack for my high school-age daughter. We were both so pleased when we opened the box. The leather looks great and the backpack provides plenty of room for the large number and size of books she transports. We conditioned the leather several times before using it and it looks better every time. I know it will also look great with use and age.The straps are canvas, so time will tell how they will wear, but like previous reviewers, I won't mind taking it to a shoe repair store for restitching if needed.She is thrilled to have something unique and gets loads of compliments on it. I fully expect her to use it through college.

Love my pack. It was a Christmas gift from my parents. I am a biology grad student so it comes in handy for field work! The compartments hold my camera, field guides and collected species,along with my lunch quiet well.
