Like most Peruvian furniture that I have purchased, this table is sturdy with no skimping on the wood used. It has the additional advantage of having a beautiful and expertly tooled leather top. The table is higher than most coffee tables, which is one reason why I bought it. I intend to use it in front of a rear projection TV used with a laptop computer connection, for which purpose the height is just right. The legs attach to the table without hardware in a secure manner, although one leg fit less tightly than the others. The wood appears to be of good quality, and the finish is as shown. I recommend the table to anyone that likes the style.
This is an attractive table, well-made and blends well with our eclectic decor. Easy to assemble and sturdy enough without using wood glue--that way I can disassemble it if I want to store it. For me, It's a bit small and a bit tall to use as a coffee table. Because it's appealing, I kept it and am using it as a side table--it's a good height for a lamp, magazines, coffee cup, etc. next to a large easy chair.
Beautiful table-nice color, sits a little higher than a traditional coffe table-very nice table
First, let me say that this is a beautifully made solid wood piece and assembly is super easy. It took me five minutes to put it together. The problem for me was that it is a sort of orange toned medium color and the leather has a hammered metal effect everywhere but in the actual border design. I was expecting smooth leather. Maybe the hammered effect is more practical, but in that the leather is the top of the piece and very visible, it was a deal breaker for me. It would probably be a good idea to get a piece of glass for the top to protect the leather.
