Lava Stone RAS Table Lamp (Indonesia)

These lamps are such eye catchers. I bought 2 of them to sit on top of a bookcase unit and they make great mood/night light ambiance. Everyone that comes into the room makes a comment. Very modern and contemporary. Love these lamps!!!

Looks fantastic when lit, both day and night. More fragile than I expected. I will be moving it from the table next to the sofa to a built in bookshelf just behind it. Lava is awesome, but it doesn't feel good brushing against it with your hand and one missed toss of a throw pillow would easily mean the end of this lamp. It would also be perfect on a large wall shelf. Everyone who has seen it thinks it is beautiful. It is an attention grabber for new visitors. The brightness is appropriate for watching television or general low lighting. I will sometimes leave it on all night as it puts a nice soft glow throughout the whole area. I would not recommend it for a reading lamp. It fits the florescent bulbs just fine and still has a nice glow (although I have to admit I like the old power hogging bulb in it the best) . The switch being on the cord is not my preference, but with this lamp it would be a necessity as there is not enough room to reach in as with a traditional switch. This is not a three way switch and it does not contain a dimmer function. These would both be excellent additions to this product and I would pay more for one with better lighting features. Package was impeccably packed and putting the lamp together was a breeze. I'm very glad I purchased this lamp. Consider a set if it works for where you want to use them. This is a beautiful lamp.

Light is made of real lava slivers giving it a real natural look. It has warm earthy tones when off during the day. When lit at night the lava appears black and it gives off a really interesting effect. No one who has seen this in our house has missed commenting on how cool it looks. We're very happy with it.
