This factory is located in the Guangdong region of mainland China. The father is the main person in charge and employs many family members. Day to day operations are run by an aunt while the son is being groomed to take over once his father retires - all of this family greatly adds to the quality and productivity of this factory. Over 300 skilled and non-skilled craftsman work together, passing knowledge and craftsmanship from generation to generation. The working conditions of this group are excellent. The factory provides an excellent lunch each day for the staff. Nice piece but arrived crushed
We excitedly awaited delivery of this piece. It arrived well packaged inside two boxes with what appeared to be adequate padding. However, upon inspection during delivery, two sides of the top on the piece were found to be severely damaged and we didn't accept delivery. It's hard to imagine the piece was damaged after it was packed in the boxes as they were not crushed or bent, and it's disappointing to think that damage so obvious would miss inspection during packing. It was quite pretty and seemed to fit the description from what I managed to see, perhaps being a bit duller in color than pictured.

Very Happy
The alrar arrived well packed and sooner than I thought. There was one small chip near the righthand corner that disappearded like magic by using a "magic marker", otherwise well made and beautiful to look at. Lots of usuable storage space inside.
