This product is made by artisans in drought-affected Marwar region of West Rajasthan, India. The artisans are distributed over the region in various villages. Profits from this art help in the overall development of the artisan community. Fair Trade practices ensure, fair wages, no child labor, equal rights for women, preservation of traditional arts and development opportunities for these underprivileged artisans.

Outside nice
I give this 2 stars because for the price I paid, the item should have held up way longer. I love the way this bags looks. It matches the description perfectly. After a few months of use though, the inside plastic lining tears away. I wound up taking the plastic lining off completely as it was not needed. I can fix this the compartments by inserting fabric ones that should last longer. I plan to continue to use it. My advise, just be very gentle with the inside if you dont want to fix it! (tubes with corners have a tendency to slice the plastic lining. Otherwise, its an adorable bag.
