This arrived packed so badly that the table was scarred and damaged nearly all surfaces. Then I noticed that the table's color was VERY DARK! Nothing like the description or pictures. The color appears to be a dark colonial mahogany color - or darker. I had to return this item.

Let me begin by saying the table is absolutely gorgeous and I love them. I ordered two as end tables, but because of poor packing one of the tables arrived with a broken leg. I've filled it with wood filler, and that should do the trick (I hope). Over all a good buy, but Overstock should try packing them in a sturdier manner.

I waffled on this purchase for a long time, based on the number of reviews that said their table top was several planks of wood, rather than one solid piece. I'm so glad I finally made the leap, because I LOVE this table. The table top came in one solid piece. It's somewhat rustic, with tiny little imperfections that just (in my opinion) add character. My house is not all perfectly-smooth surfaces, so it fits in well, but if you're looking for glossy, smooth finishes, this isn't for you. It's not so rustic as shabby chic, though; I think it's still quite elegant in a "been in the family for a couple generations and gone through a few moves" sort of way -- not at ALL like plywood, as one reviewer said. The color of mine showed up a tad darker than walnut but lighter than espresso. The height was actually 27.5" ... I say this only because some people have reported 28", others 26" ... seems like this varies from table to table. Super-easy to assemble (took 5 minutes, and part of that time was spent hunting down my screwdriver).WARNING--if you're sensitive to fumes, unpack this outside and let it air out a bit. When I unpacked the box, the varnish smell was almost overpowering.

Since these are handmade, do expect your color to vary (likely somewhere between the shade in the photo and a dark walnut). Mine happened to be close to dark walnut, and that suited me just fine. The turned center spindle was a bit wider as well, so these can vary too. This table is probably not for a pristine, perfect, formal environment...it gives off a distinct "old world" impression, and I love it. It fits in well with my rustic Chinese antique pieces, slight imperfections and all. If Overstock ever gets these back in stock, I'm definitely buying another.

The table was very easy to assemble even though there were no screws included. It appears in the picture to be a more formal piece than it really turned out to be. It's more of a country piece, but still a nice table.

The table arrived quickly, assembly was a breeze, and it is just as was described on the website. I am very pleased with my purchase. It is taller and larger than most tables -- just what I needed.

As pretty as it is in the picture it does not show that the top is actually a piece of plywood stained and sealed. Not attractive at all up close, but pretty from far away or in a dark room. If you cover it with lots of clutter it will be fine. Would not have purchased if I had seen in person. My first disappointing purchase.

This table looks exquisite. Deep, rich, brown color. Top is one solid piece. Detail is beautiful. It's bigger than I expected, slightly taller than arm of sofa. Minor blemishes on top make it look handcrafted.

I ordered this on a bit of a whim and was please that 1) it was packaged well, 2) looks like a well cared for antique and 3) it almost exactly matches (skirt, wood & finish) a family heirloom dining room table. It's now in my dining room aand looks great - am considering a second for the original purpose - bedside table.

I thought twice about purchasing this table based on reviews I read on the site regarding damaged items due to packaging. Then, curiously enough 2 new reviews were added to the site that stated how they received the lovely table without damage because it was packaged so well. I thought the packaging problem had been rectified so I ordered the table. It came damaged due to POOR PACKAGING. It comes with minimal bubble wrap in a box way too big for it so it has plenty of time to bounce around and damage during shipment. ALSO, I agree with the other review that this table is VERY dark (not honey as described or cherry as appears in the photo).

I have used this in my office with my two accent chairs for over two years. Very sturdy, blends well and catches lots of compliments. Would recommend!

Much darker it was a two part put together i received it with a few dents but it gives a character. For the price you can't go wrong. My husband put two screws to hold the top from wobbling. Overall I would highly recommend....

What a Find. I'm a Designer and was willing to sacrifice quality for style. I wasn't expecting a table at this price to be so well made, easily worth triple the price. Arrived in perfect condition. The top piece which is a solid piece of hardwood, not plywood as someone else mentioned fits securely and ingeniously over the base, which actually could be used without the top.

This table was a snap to put together, It was the base, top and 4 screws. The finish is more brown than the picture. There are a few blemishes on the wood, but that just gives it a more worn' been handed down the family' look that I like. After reading other reviews I can see how the legs could be damaged as they come already assembled. The top is wood not particle board like one reviewer commented. The height is higher than a typical end table with is why I purchased it. I wanted a nice table that can also be used as a little desk area for my daughter to use. I have the table centered between two chairs in my home office.

I ordered this table on the evening of the 7th and it arrived today - the 12th! No scratches or dents - very well packaged. I am so glad I ordered it - its perfect. It looks like a table that should have cost several hundreds of dollars mainly because of the unusual legs and the finial in the middle. It is slightly distressed/antiqued but I expected that having read the other reviews. I would definitely recommend this table to other shoppers. Thanks Overstock and thanks to other reviewers for giving me the info I needed to place the order.

I got this table and expected it to be darker and it did not disappoint. It is the perfect color and size and looks so much more expensive than its price. I absolutely love it and for the price it can not be beat!!! Just expect that the table will be a darker expresso color...not a honey color at all. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!

Received the table very quickly, it was not very well pack and was actually damaged in shipping but because it looks old to begin with not all that obvious. As others have noted the color is much darker than the image. Assembly was very easy but be careful the screws that attach the top to base are a little long and can go through the top. As usual the dimensions are not as the description they are actually 26" diameter, 27" high.

We needed a pub sized table and wanted all hard-wood. This table is perfect and sturdy. The detail is done very well. It has a "worn" look to the wood, but we love the effect. It came packaged well and quick to assemble. The stain is a little darker than it appears in the photo, which makes it look better in my opinion. I was amazed at how quickly it arrived as well! A great buy.

The craftsmanship is impressive and the finish is a beautiful rich tone. It is fabulous. I love Overstock.
