Product Features :
Peruvian artisan Cesar Gonzales has worked as a stone carver since 1988. Of his four children, the oldest girl shows the most interest in her father's art and even assists him. Gonzales works with serpentine, rose manganese, calcite, celestite, red jasper, mottramite, chrysocolla, rhodochrosite and quartz. 'I work in stone because of the beautiful things that can be made with each kind,' he says. 'I like stone's naturalness and purity of color.'

Makes a wonderful gift
Though I purchased this for myself, it would make a lovely gift. It was packaged so beautifully, I almost didn't want to open it. Nice piece of red (terracota/brick/tannish colored, pretty much as pictured) Jasper. A good deal for what it is. I placed it on above my headboard to aid dream recall. It has, but would also make a very nice paperweight.

i really like this pyramid. its super heavy, great quality stone. no holes or cracks or anything. very solid. same color as the picture. love it. :)

Disappointed
Unlike a previous reviewer, I was extremely disappointed in the wrapping. I was wrapped in plain heavy duty brown wrapping paper covered with packing tape, that was it. No box at all. This was for a gift and now I need to shop for a box that it will fit in. It took weeks to get here, did not arrive in time to give as a gift and certainly not with a box to wrap it in. Although I would reccomend this item I would not buy from overstock anything I am going to use for a gift.
