This item was made in the deserts of northern India by artisans that for generations worked within the British military establishment. Since the departure of the British in 1947, this region's industry has grown from one of military support to that of world class handicraft and furniture.These are from a family of iron workers who have been in the trade for several generations. There are three brothers that operate this family business now. Their grandfather even helped manufacture airplane parts in the final years of the British occupation of India.

Classic Table
This is a beautiful table. The glass is firmly attached to the metal frame and very well protected, my table arrived in perfect condition. The style could be right out of the 20's or 30's and the matte finish is amazing. I hate shiny brass but the matte, or almost brushed finish of this table is rich and warm feeling.

Love these tables!!!!
I ordered 2 of these for the sides of my bed. I LOVE them. They are the perfect fit for my bed's location and very well made. I was a little nervous spending that kind of money without seeing them, but they are great!

Nice but...
it came with way too many chips around the edges of the mirrored top. There was no quality control either from the manufacturer or Overstock. Very heavy/solid piece but not worth $xxxx, I like that the brass is not shiny either!
