Okay, this sun is awesome, however, I was expecting it to lay flat on the wall. The fact is, it's about 3" deep away from the wall, because behind it is a square "cage" like thing, with a round metal piece to hold a candle. I bought one of the others, and it was teeny tiny, now, this still isn't what I wanted but I really like the sun, so, I MAY find a way to cut off the candleholder so it will hang flush on the wall. It's really a near looking sun and is a much nicer size than the teeny one I got first. It's a lovely sun, just know, it's going to sit about 3" or more away from the wall. If that's what you want...you will love it.
