I wanted an industrial look for my desk and this works perfectly. Very easy to assemble. Its quite heavy so consider that when purchasing. You'll need help carrying it. Its hard to mess up a piece like this because its meant to be non-uniform in color and rough in texture. That's a huge plus because you don't have to worry about it looking good after shipping.. I did find that to use it as a desk I needed something under my work area to reduce the metal noises which can be distracting.
