Story Behind the Art:
Indian artisan Nazir Wani was born and brought up in the mystical state of Kashmir, and is the proud heir of a rich family legacy in traditional Indian crafts. 'My forefathers migrated from Persia during the Budshah regime. When I was as a child I loved coming home after school to sit with my father and learn from him. Our family's art has been honored with awards for two centuries! We received a medal as far back as 1808 by Mr. George Wolsele.'

Fabulous find!
I just love this rug. It was an accidental purchase as I was browsing for a room-sized rug. Luckily I spotted this and bought it on the spot. I'm using it on the floor, but it could easily be a wall-hanging. Probably not for everyone, but cat-lovers and artistic types would enjoy it.

Bought this rug for a small hallway and it is so fun and funky! Needs a pad underneath because it slips on the wood floor. Beautifully made and I have gotten compliments from everyone who has seen it. Highly recommend!
