Story Behind the Art:
Kilims are known as 'pile-less' rugs; the design is also known as 'slitweave.' These beautiful designs are achieved by interweaving the various colors of the vertical and horizontal strands of the rug. Master Worldstock weavers in India have managed to replicate this pattern, using the same traditional techniques as their Iranian counterparts. This particular rug was made by Mahmood and his family. They do the entire process of shearing, washing, and dyeing of the wool and weaving of the rugs within their own compound.
What is Worldstock?
The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.

Love this rug. Absolutely no reservations on buying it.

- How accurate was the sizing? Was worried about the size since description said that they did not always turn out exactly the same size. Turned out the one I received was a little larger than 4x6. Closer to 4.5x7. Very pleased.

Excellent quality rug for the living room
I bought this rug to replace one in our living room. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase: the colors are beautiful, the weaving is excellent, and I think the style is very nice. I have leather/ivory/wood colors, so this rug adds nice colors to the space without being irritating. Our dog loves it too, though he prefers to lay on the tufted rug in another room. I needed a flat-weave style that we could move our coffee table (on wheels) over easily. It gets a lot of traffic (it's in the main thoroughfare from the kitchen to the bedroom), and it's held up well over the 6 months I've had it. I purchased a non-slip rug pad and double-sided carpet tape to keep it in place on our wood floors, which I recommend (this also allows us to vacuum it easily). There is one thing that has been bugging me though: over time the edges have started to curl up where it gets the most traffic. I will try flipping it over and re-taping it, or maybe ironing it (?), to fix this. Even with this issue, I would still buy it because I just love the style and the price is decent.
