Story Behind the Art:
Kilims are known as 'pile-less' rugs; the design is also known as 'slitweave.' These beautiful designs are achieved by interweaving the various colors of the vertical and horizontal strands of the rug. Master Worldstock weavers in India have managed to replicate this pattern, using the same traditional techniques as their Iranian counterparts. This particular rug was made by Mahmood and his family. They do the entire process of shearing, washing, and dyeing of the wool and weaving of the rugs within their own compound.
The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.
Tip: We recommend the use of a non-skid pad to keep the rug in place on smooth surfaces.
All rug sizes are approximate. Due to the difference of monitor colors, some rug colors may vary slightly. We try to represent all rug colors accurately. Please refer to the text above for a description of the colors shown in the photo.

Thank you. Your feedback will help us create the best experience for our customers.
The product description prominently lists this as a wool rug. The tag attached to the product I received lists it as 20% wool and 80% jute. It looks, smells, and feels like jute. (Jute is a vegetable fiber.) I feel misled.
Overstock shipped promptly as always.
I see it went on sale after I bought it. Bad timing.
The actual pattern in the rug is pretty and matches the image here on the website.

Please tell us about the quality of the product. The quality for what it is, is fine. It should be advertised as a jute rug with some wool in it. See my review.
Overstock seems to be selling a series of 'Indo Tribal Kilim Flat Weave' rugs as wool. The one I received, another 4 x 6 of similar style, also was 80% jute, but was advertised as wool, with a full description listing 'wool' as the primary material. This is misleading.
Did the color match the color displayed onsite? yes
Please tell us about the quality of the product. It's a nice jute rug, not wool.
colors are not as represented. Disappointed as this is for a client and must return. The photo colors are rust, orange black and overall a very warm color way. In reality, the background is a dull khaki color, pattern is navy olive green and burgundy They need to re.-photograph and describe colors as they really are.
Did the color match the color displayed onsite? Not even close.
Is this rug wool or jute? You do not mention jute anywhere in your description, but a reviewer stated it was only 20 percent wool, not 100 percent.frenchies4ever on Oct 11, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
