Handcrafted in India using the traditional Turkish Sumak weave to create a chain-stitched brocaded effect that complements today's young, casual interior design schemes. Designs are inspired from Caucasian patterns handed down from mother to daughter for centuries to recreate the coveted handcrafted, natural and antique appearance in rugs designed for today's lifestyles. 100-percent pure wool is used to create a very soft touch while providing a durable rug that will be enjoyed for many years.

Beautiful Area rug
I looked through a lot of online sites to find the the right area rug for my family room.. I was having difficulty because my room has a burnt rust painted wall, and the theme is based on a trip I took to Thailand.. This area rug is perfect. The rust color is perfect- it is a little more muted so blends in the room very nicely. The rug is also more thin that the typical wool rug so it sits on the carpet nicely. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it was a little bit more expensive than some of the other rugs that I have purchase on Overstock and other websites in the past. With that said, it is a perfect rug for my room and it was money well spent. Just as an FYI- this is not a modern rug- if you have a room that is more earth tones and you don't want that busy Oriental Style design- this is a great buy!
