This Kilim design originates from Maimana, an area suspected to have been settled in Paleolithic times due to the numerous cave dwellings discovered there. For ages this remote area has been a trading center, significantly contributing to the business of the great silk routes. Kilims are known as 'pileless' rugs; the design is also known as 'slitweave.'

Nice rug. Great price. Quick delivery.
Was happy to get this rug for a casual accent in my office that has the wood flooring and paneled walls. Really helped to lighten it up. I thought it was a great price and it came without delay.

LOVE this rug!
I have had this rug for almost 2 years now and absolutely LOVE it! It wears well and looks great! If you are looking to sit on it all the time, it is a bit scratchy, but not too bad. I would highly recommend this rug!

Beautiful but very rough
Very nice rug but I was unable to keep it. Way to rough for baby's knees while he's crawling around and playing.

Not worth the money
As you can see from above, the fringe is not tied off well, and blends into the next creating knots. The fringe on one end is dirty. I wouldn't recommend spending $*** on this item. It does look like the photo, and is really what I wanted, but it's a disappointment to have it arrive in less than 'new' looking condition.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. mediocre, fringe is tied off badly, arrived with the rolled end of fringe dirty. The rug itself is just what I wanted, but with the other issues not worth the price. I will also say I received the rug in 3 days for the low cost shipping option.
