The Story behind the ArtThe town of Heriz (pronounced Harees) is known as one of the most significant historical places in the Azerbaijan province. Heriz rugs are hand-woven by Azerbaijan Turkish inhabitants of the city. While no two Heriz carpets are identical, they generally tend to have a recognizable similarity. This Heriz is approximately 30 years old and in overall excellent condition.
