Story Behind the Art:
India's Kavita says, 'My husband's association with an NGO in Uttarakhand drew me to handicrafts. It helps poor people find a source of income through raising rabbits, whose wool is purchased spun and sold. We organized artisans from different parts of Uttar Pradesh and started designing rugs and other home furnishings.'

The perfect rug
This rug ended up being the perfect size and color for the space I bought it for - a few shades of green and the red give it a nice pop. There's always a risk purchasing something online with only a small picture but I think the picture was a true representation of the real thing. Rug says it has some wool in it, but hard to tell. I rated it a good versus excellent because it was not cheap for what it was. So if it hadn't been just the perfect size and color I may have not felt as good about paying ***** , but when I find something that works I just go with it.
