Story Behind the Art:
Tabriz rugs are among the most beautiful and legendary carpets ever built. Many rugs produced in Tabriz are attempting to follow the incredible artistry of the Persian Safavid rugs. However, the design of this rug was copied and re-created in the Varanasi region of India by Mahmood and his family. They do the entire process of shearing, washing, dyeing and weaving of the rugs within their own compound by all of the family members. These rugs are virtually identical in design, workmanship and authenticity as the originals.

Beautiful. Grays and tan / caramel and cream..nice colors on trend. Luxe feel. Looks sharp on my dark hickory floors.
