Story Behind the Art:
This rug was created in the Varanasi region of India, in the Bhadohi village. These rugs are made by Mahmood and his family. They are hand-tufted in their own homes, and everyone in the family helps out in the process of rug making, from his wife, Shakiba, to the youngest daughter, Jamila. They process the wool, themselves in their home, prior to making the rugs. All washing, spinning and dyeing of the wool are done in their home.

Colors not exact, but great rug.
I am very pleased with this rug. While the colors were not exactly as pictured, I did expect that from reading other reviews and from the understanding that this was hand made, so the products might vary. While the rug was not as brightly colored as it looks in the picture, the muted shades worked really well with my furnitire and helped pull all the colors together (I haev a green couch, yellow chair, and red/yellow/green striped chair).
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? Not quite, the rug appears more yellow-green in the photo, it is more muted, not as yellow.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Very good quality, rich feeling and looking.
- How accurate was the sizing? Accurate size.
