Product Features
Story Behind the Art
This rug was created in the Varanasi region of India, in the Bhadohi village. These rugs are made by Mahmood Alam and his family. They are hand-tufted in their own homes, and everyone in the family helps out in the process of rug making, from his wife, Shakiba, to the youngest daughter, Jamila. They process the wool, themselves in their home, prior to making the rugs. All washing, spinning and dyeing of the wool are done in their home.

Beautiful Colorful Rug
My only problem with the rug is that my cats LOVE to scratch it! It is now on a bench upside down until I can find something that will deter them besides the double tape I have been using....
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? A little more subdued but still quite colorful.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. It is well made and stands up to daily foot traffic.

I loved the thickness and colors.
Bought this for a bedroom in Florida. The colors really brighten up the room and match so well with all in room. It is very plush and I think will standup to a lot of traffic. I only wish it was larger.
