Story Behind the Art:
This rug was created in the Varanasi region of India, in the Bhadohi village. These rugs are made by Mahmood and his family. They are hand-tufted in their own homes, and everyone in the family helps out in the process of rug making, from his wife, Shakiba, to the youngest daughter, Jamila. They process the wool, themselves in their home, prior to making the rugs. All washing, spinning and dyeing of the wool are done in their home.

it's green, not gold
It's a perfectly nice green rug. Not gold. And I don't particularly care for this mustardy-green colour either. I will return it. Fortunately, Overstock is great about returns. I would have loved to have a rug the colour I saw in the picture. This is not it. It did come very quickly, though.

The color was not as light/creamier gold as pictured, it was more of a green gold
