Story Behind the Art:
Kilims are known as 'pile-less' rugs; the design is also known as slit-weave. These beautiful designs are achieved by interweaving the various colors of the vertical and horizontal strands of the rug. It can be used as a hanging piece or as a floor covering. Master World-stock weavers in India have managed to replicate this pattern, using the same traditional techniques as their Iranian counterparts. This particular rug was made by Mahmood and his family. They do the entire process of shearing, washing, and dyeing of the wool and weaving of the rugs within their own compound.

Good quality, colors WAY OFF
The material and quality suits my needs, the size too was fine. BUT THE COLOR was so far off i had to return it. This is a MID-TONE rug. The colors are very far of from those of the pictures. I wish I could take a picture of it and send it in. I'm sure this rug is fine for someone, but in cases where color accuracy are important you must avoid it. The search continues.
