This handcrafted item and many others come from a third-generation family-run factory in mainland China. Their skills of hand-painting, hand-rubbed lacquering and hand-tooling have been passed down for many generations. We are proud to support them in their quest to keep their age-old techniques alive for future generations. Many of the artists are hired out of semi-retirement to work from home training the next generation to become master craftsmen. These masters are highly respected in their craft and their culture which have survived through many Chinese dynasties and continue to produce valuable and desirable pieces for your home decor.

Wonderful Oriental Table
I received this table and the screws were missing. The screws were promptly sent and was really nice once I got it put together. I bought it for the Asian design and to sit my Japanese doll and case on it. The size is perfect and with the light in the bottom, it works beautifully for what I needed it for.

Looks nice, but cheaply made
The end table looks nice, but it isn't very stable. The panels aren't very sturdy. I definitely would not buy the coffee table if you plan to have it double as a foot rest. It gives off more light than I originally expected, but it's still not very much.

poor quality
I received this with the coffee table, and I was must say I was very upset when I got the item. This table for the price is all particle board. The middle piece where you screw in the light bulb was bowed. If anyone purchases this table buyer beware it is made of very poor quality, all particle board and if you plan on keeping the table if you order it, expect it to last at most a month. The only positive thing I can say is that overstock.com stands behind what they sell, they are picking the tables up and giving us a full refund, I am just sick over this because we were so excited to get these and to see how poor quality they were I would not have paid 50.00 for this table. I see where someone else gave this 5 stars. All I can say is they are using this as a look at table only!
