I have several wooden masks from Bali and they always arrive well packaged. What comes out of the package is what is described and pictured. While they are handcarved out of a natural product and no two will be exactly the same, they are all beautiful. The artists involved clearly take pride in their work.

The mask arrived in 6 days including the weekend. I was very excited to open the box and display the mask right away! Once I got upstairs, I tore through the well-packaged box like a child @ Christmas (Kool-Aid smile included), removed the last piece of paper packaging and... was jolted with a feeling of deceit. The mask itself was pleasantly light, the craftsmanship was great and it looked exactly like the picture on the website. Except... it wasn't white. Not even close to white. When you look at the picture it is a rather stark white. If you click on the larger picture icon, the picture most certainly looks white (bleached blonde at the worst) and it isn't. Actually, it is a two-tone colored mask with neither of the two colors being white. One color is a dark tan and the other is brown. The tan is about 60-65% of the front of the mask and the brown is about 80-85% of the back of the mask. Also, you will fine that what looks like ears on the close-up of the picture online, is actually two cheap-looking, stark white strings on both sides connected to a piece of black rubber. For a person who appreciates fine lines and curves, as well as the ability to hide away strings and nails when displaying artwork, this is an eye-sore. Particularly because the strings and rubber-band do not match the mask in color or in quality. The potential was great, but this mask leaves much to be desired. I would recommend this to a friend who wanted this particular color scheme and didn't mind the contrasting qualities of the mask from its hanging material.

I ordered this mask for my multi-cultural classroom and it arrived within the week. Carefully wrapped in five layers of tissue and bubble wrap, it arrived unblemished and it matched the description I'd seen on Overstock. I had shopped for masks in stores before I purchased the Scream mask online and I am certain that I got the best price possible. I would recommend Overstock.com to anyone.

The wood is a beautiful blonde-white wood and the craftsmanship is outstanding. This is the second of the group that I've gotten for someone as a gift. They are phenomenal. I would definitely recommend to anyone that enjoys good workmanship.
